Forex: NZD/USD bounces to 0.8440/46

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The NZD/USD has bounced nearly 10 pips off the 0.8435 level during the afternoon of European trading Thursday. On the heels of mixed economic data in the United States, the pair was trading at 0.8440/46, up a modest +0.03%.

Mataf.net analysts points to short-term resistances at 0.8470, onto 0.8514, and 0.8535. On the decline, the NZD/USD is slated to face short-term resistance at 0.8405 ahead of 0.8384, and finally the 0.8340 handle.

In the United States, Initial Jobless Claims (April 13) came in at 352K, missing expectations of 350K. In addition, Continuing Jobless Claims (April 6) were reported at 3.068M, against projections calling for 3.075M.
